Technologies for Digital Health

The non-invasive measurement of vital parameters is an important building block for a healthy lifestyle and personalized medicine. Sensors, algorithms and wireless communication with high energy efficiency are building blocks for a new generation of unique wearables as developed at CSEM.

Blood pressure measurement without cuff

The traditional blood pressure measurement is carried out by congestion of the blood flow with a cuff. This type of measurement is uncomfortable and not continuous. A continuous blood pressure measurement - similar to a pulse rate measurement - was made possible by CSEM with an optical method.

The start-up aktiia valorizes this technology and will introduce the medically certified, reliable optical blood pressure measurement in the market.

Ovulation cycle measurement

Vital parameters provide information about when a woman's fertile days occur in her menstrual cycle. For this purpose, different data are measured and intelligently linked. CSEM developed the corresponding technologies.

The award-winning start-up AVA AG has launched a corresponding product on the market. A tracker - worn as a bracelet - which analyses the ovulation cycle.
