Showcase Swiss Medtech Expo 2021

Surgical forceps, 3D printed – it's as simple as that!

With 3D printing, delicate products can be quickly produced as prototypes in small and medium-sized batches. One example is the medical forceps, made from 1.4542 / 17-4PH stainless steel, which were designed and printed on the TRUMPF TruPrint 2000 by the team at the Swiss m4m Center.

Compared with conventional methods, additive manufacturing gives us the advantage of being able to manufacture products without any tools. Swiss m4m Center gives med-tech companies the opportunity to check whether laser metal fusion (LMF) is technically and economically suitable for their production before they invest in their own systems.
