Review of a successful Swiss Medtech Expo

The combination of digital and analogue is convincing. This was impressively demonstrated by the third Swiss Medtech Expo. The trade fair was the place where developers, engineers and product managers from the medtech industry informed, inspired and exchanged ideas.

«I am very satisfied with the Swiss Medtech Expo,» says René Ziswiler, Exhibition Director. With 1700 visitors, he can on one hand announce an increase in the number of visitors, while on the other hand the Swiss Medtech Expo has proven that the new trade fair concept is taking effect. The Swiss Medtech Expo offered inspiration, specialist knowledge and a network, coordinated according to focus topics and areas of application - and this was already available on the website before the trade fair.

«Our visitors informed themselves in detail about the exhibitors, showcases and presentations in advance and used the networking tool," explains Ziswiler. This has a clear added value for the exhibition manager: "The right people come together at the exhibition to discuss new approaches to solutions.»

Exhibitors benefit from the concept

Robel Getachew of SCHUNK Intec AG confirms that exactly this efficient networking is the biggest strength of the Swiss Medtech Expo. "The visitors came to our booth very focused and with specific questions. This was a new and very positive experience for us," says Getachew. Andreas Horst, of ElringKlinger Kunststofftechnik GmbH, also draws a positive balance: "The quality of the visitors was right. We were able to hold numerous discussions with customers, from which concrete projects will emerge". In general, the exhibitors were satisfied with this year's Swiss Medtech Expo. The opportunity to present their expertise online before the fair is highly appreciated. "The combination of a digital presence and personal exchange at the trade fair is exemplary at Swiss Medtech Expo," sums up Peter Himsolt of IFTEST.

Knowledge transfer on two stages

The Innovation Symposium also contributed to the success of the Swiss Medtech Expo. The symposium was extended to a second stage for the first time and comprised a total of 84 presentations. "The variety of topics was unique and we were able to provide a realistic insight into the practice," says René Ziswiler. The direct transfer of knowledge in the form of short presentations was very well received by the audience. The Innovation Symposium was correspondingly well attended.

Save the Date

From 14 to 15 September 2021, Swiss Medtech Expo will once again be the analogue meeting place for the Swiss medtech supplier industry.
